This submarine marketed by FunTec/HiTec is probably the smallest submarine on the market today.  Being only 3 inches long, it is designed to be used in small environments such as an aquarium.  In fact, the makers of this set go to great length to make it compatible with aquariums in that they use and recommend only environmentally friendly castor oil for lubrication.

This set is very complete including the radio, battery for the sub and sub battery charger.  The only thing you will need is 8 AA batteries for the radio.  The European heritage is obvious in that the battery charger has a European 220volt connecter.  An adapter is supplied to convert it to a U.S. style outlet.  The included radio is on a legal 27 mhz U.S. frequency.  The submarine contains the receiver, speed controls for both motors and an auto synchronizing circuit that adjust itself to the transmitter settings so the motors are at neutral at startup.  All this in such a little package is amazing.
