HERMELIN XVIIC INFORMATION
I designed my first sub design named Hermelin Type XVIIC based on the WWII Walter closed cycle turbine designed by the German engineer and designer Prof. Hellmuth Walter. I took some ideas from him to create a new R/C submarine with the following items:
* Ballast tank system thru electric water pump with INTOPSS salvage system. The system automatically empties the ballast tank water if R/C signal is lost or water is detected into the pressure hull.
* Single Hull Cylinder (SCH) system with resin bow and stern cones with all apendages included, sail and snorkel.
* Kit contents all electric & electronic hardware needed to mount the submarine except 4 channel R/C system (only 2 standard servos needed because Electronic Speed Controller and Microswitch 2 Ways are included in the kit).
As I told you before this submarine kit includes all parts needed to construct this model sub including complete pressure hull, appendages, brass tray, ballast tank, electric installation, motor, pump, electronic microswitch, ESC, battery and 6-12 V charger, wiring, air hand pump, valves, lead ballast, 18 pages instruction booklet in English (Assembling & Operation manual) including a color page with electrical installation 16 color photographs and 3 pages part list, full plan scale 1/1 with painting patterns, etc. all included except R/C system.
I hope you find useful this information and donīt hesitate to ask any question you have. Marine Modelling International (April 2001 issue) has published a 7 pages article based on the Hermelin prototype on which I made testing trials to design the submarine Type XVIIC.
