| A little sub like this just needs a little bit of water so for it's first run, I dropped it into a kiddy pool. | |
| I'm only got about 5" of water so keeping the boat submerged without touching the bottom is tough. The depth control is touchy. | |
| I found myself either on the bottom or on the surface. I'm thinking that a movable dive plane would have made things easier. Of course, a deeper pool would have made it easier too! | |
| The LED's are really a nice touch. The sub is highly maneuverable left to right. With the side thruster, it will turn without and forward motion. Very convenient if you happen to find yourself in the middle of a debris field like these giant colored icebergs. | |
| Diving is controlled by the submarine depth. To dive you adjust the buoyancy tank. The tank is controlled by two small buttons on the remote control. You can get the sub to hover pretty easily but it's hard to maintain the depth once you get it to hover. The diving tank reacts very quick to a button press and requires constant correction. That's ok as it adds to the fun factor. | |
