The Thundertiger Victoria sailboat kit is quite popular for racing or just having fun and it is easy to see why.  It is inexpensive and comes in a very complete kit.  The American Model Yacht Association has set up a racing class for these boats insuring their continued popularity.

The local boating club has adopted these boats and races them regularly which is why I decided to get one.  I will be building this boat for competition so I will be leaving out some of the trim items and also will modify the boat for better performance.  This build up will be a bit rushed as I wish to use it in the upcoming regatta which is in a little over 3 weeks.  Since time is limited, I don't think I will be able to apply all of the modifications I wish to add on the initial build but I do plan on going back and adding them when time allows.
