This boat is my first venture into the work of hard core fast electrics.  All of my other fast electrics up to this point have been complete kits.  Although I have modified some of them to be much faster than the original out of box speed, I have never done a ground up build up to this point.  I am hoping that this boat will be the fastest one in my fleet.

The hull is made by a Hungry and sold by a company called Toysport.  It is made out of fiberglass and is quite light, much lighter then a comparable gas hull.  They make two versions of this boat, one with a plain v hull and one with a stepped hull.  I chose the stepped hull in hopes of getting a little more speed.  The manufacturer recommends 16 to 24 cells be used for this boat.  I am going to try using only 12 cells at first to see if the speed is acceptable.  I bought the hull from Fine Design RC and their site indicates that 12 to 18 cells be used.
