Up Initial Construction Hull Cowl and Hatch Modified Driveline

This boat was purchased used off of the internet.  Parts of it have already been assembled.  From the looks of it, this boat must of been setup a few different times.Click for hi-resolution image
The hull has noticeable damage to it.  There are some stress cracks, holes and the drive line skeg has been modifiedClick for hi-resolution image
The detail pieces for the hull look like they have never been installed.  I'm guessing this boat was used for racing and anything that wasn't absolutely necessary was left off.Click for hi-resolution image

Instead of having a straight drive that would normally be on this boat, it has been setup for a flex shaft. Most of the pieces with the exception of the correct flex cable have been included.

The inside of the hull looks pretty rough.  There is a lot of left over glue from prior setups.Click for hi-resolution image
The ride plates have been rounded and made flush with the hull, they will need to be replaced.Click for hi-resolution image
I found a hole in hull that was caused by sanding the plastic to thin.Click for hi-resolution image
To fix it, I cut out the plastic.  Behind the plastic was a wood stiffener so all I have to do is fill in the hole with some Stabilt Express.Click for hi-resolution image
With the hole sealed, I added a doubler to the end to prevent further problems.  The rest of the hull was checked over, repaired where needed, sanded and prepped for painting.  Time to get on with it.Click for hi-resolution image
