Hull

Up Initial Construction Hull Cowl and Hatch Modified Driveline

I made some new rider plates out of some .7mm plastic stock.  The old ones had been rounded off.Click for hi-resolution image
The plates extend past the edge the sponsons so that the water makes a clean break from the hull and doesn't suck the hull down.Click for hi-resolution image
The rear wing was never installed.  Each section is made up of two pieces of light weight plastic that are glued together.  These where already assembled by the previous owner.  The vertical pieces are then glued to the hull using CA glue.  They are angled where they attach to the hull which makes lining them up easy as the angle is set for you.  The top wing is then glued on.  Click for hi-resolution image
The original instructions called for a wood double to be placed inside of the hull at the stern so I made a new one. There was a lot of glue remnants in the back of my hull and the seal for the pushrod was in the way.  It was a challenge to fit it in but I finally got it in.Click for hi-resolution image

With the wing attached and the hull painted, it's starting to look look pretty decent.  Time to work on the cowl.
