This boat is a scale unlimited Hydro put out by MRP.  It has been sitting in my closet forever because when I originally purchased it, I did not have the proper skills to assemble and run it correctly and found it utterly frustrating.  I decided to give it another go because my skill set has increased and my common sense has decreased.

The first time I built this boat I ended up destroying the drive line by cutting the drive shaft tube to short and running it in that condition.  This time I think I know how to assemble it.  These pages will highlight the re-construction of the drive line and setting up the boat for use.  I vaguely remember that there were several versions of this kit and I think I bought the Budweiser "Red" version which was the highest performance one.  It came with an Octura strut, dual motors and a flex drive line.  Sorry that I can't be more specific on the exact model but I do not think this boat is made anymore.  I'm not even sure that MRP is still around.  I have heard rumors that Thunder Tiger will be picking up their old product line.

Andrew of FastElectrics.com advises that Thunder Tiger did indeed take over MRP but has not started reselling anything but the sailboat and nitro tunnel.  For this particular boat, he referred me to a hop up article published by Radio Controlled Boat Modelers Magazine and recommends change the gear ratio from 1:1 to 1.54:1-1.86:1 and using and Octura 442 or 642 prop.  Sounds like a plan.
