This boat is not part of my collection. It belongs to a gentleman named
Stefaan from Belgium. He wrote to say that he would like to modify his
boat to make it faster by changing the motor and replacing the mechanical speed
control with an electronic one.. He also may run the boat on 14.4 volts or
maybe even 21.6 volts. Many thanks for the pictures Stefaan! | Here is a good shot of the electronics. The layout is very clean. | | | The working end of the boat uses a universal joint on the steerable outdrive. It appears that the angle of the strut can be easily adjusted. It also looks like the prop can easily be replaced with a higher performing unit. | | | This is a good looking boat. | | | Here is a good shot of Kyosho's gearbox. It looks like you could run two motors in a side by side arrangement instead of the single motor in the middle. If that it is possible that should give a good speed increase with the right prop. | |
